1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering as a member of Northern Leaders, accessing the website, or attending any events, sessions, or communications provided as part of the network ("the Services"), you ("Member") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

2. Nature of the Service

2.1 Northern Leaders is a paid business networking membership, providing access to events, introductions, discussions, content, and connections between members.

2.2 The Services are provided for general networking, community, and informational purposes only. Nothing provided through the Services — including but not limited to discussions, presentations, guest speakers, member contributions, written content, or informal advice given by staff, hosts, facilitators, or fellow members — constitutes professional, legal, financial, tax, HR, or business advice.

2.3 Members should not rely on any information obtained through the Services as a substitute for advice from a suitably qualified professional. Any decisions made based on content or discussions within the network are made entirely at the Member's own risk and discretion.

3. No Warranty

3.1 The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Northern Leaders makes no warranties or representations, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any information, advice, introduction, or content provided through the Services.

3.2 Northern Leaders does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the competence, conduct, professionalism, or business practices of any member, speaker, guest, or third party involved in the network, and accepts no responsibility for any dealings, contracts, or business relationships that arise between members as a result of their involvement with the network.

4. Limitation of Liability

4.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Northern Leaders, its owners, directors, employees, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, or expense (including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or consequential loss) arising directly or indirectly from:

a) any advice, opinion, or information given or exchanged within the network, whether by Northern Leaders, its staff, guest speakers, or fellow members;
b) any business decision, transaction, or relationship entered into as a result of participation in the Services;
c) the conduct, actions, or omissions of any other member or third party;
d) any interruption, error, defect, or unavailability of the website or Services;
e) any use of, or reliance on, content published on the website or shared during events.

4.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

4.3 Subject to clause 4.2, Northern Leaders' total aggregate liability to any Member arising out of or in connection with these Terms, however arising, shall not exceed the total membership fees paid by that Member in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

5. Member Conduct and Responsibility

5.1 Members are solely responsible for their own conduct, statements, and business dealings within the network, and for conducting their own due diligence before entering into any business relationship with another member or contact made through the Services.

 

5.2 Members agree to indemnify and hold harmless Northern Leaders against any claims, losses, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from their breach of these Terms, their conduct within the network, or any dispute between members.

6. Membership Fees

6.1 Membership is granted on payment of the applicable fee, as set out at the point of purchase. Fees are non-refundable except as set out in our cancellation policy or as required by law.

6.2 Northern Leaders reserves the right to amend membership fees on renewal, with reasonable notice provided to Members.

​

7. Termination

7.1 Northern Leaders reserves the right to suspend or terminate a Member's access to the Services, without refund, in cases of misconduct, breach of these Terms, or behaviour deemed damaging to the network or its members.

7.2 Members may cancel their membership in accordance with the cancellation terms provided at sign-up.

​

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 All website content, branding, and materials provided as part of the Services remain the property of Northern Leaders unless otherwise stated, and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.

9. Changes to These Terms

Northern Leaders reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
